albatross

The Albatross

The Albatross is the biggest sea bird and the Biggest flying bird.

They don't sleep much.

They can sleep on the water.

Only go to land to lay eggs .

They find cliff tops and make a nest out of mud.

They follow fishing boats to eat the bait but they get caught in fishing nets.

  1. Hi Max,
Great job with your information report on the Albatross. They are magnificent birds to see in full flight, and its amazing to think they spend most of their time actually flying over the sea. Have you been to the albatross colony at Tairoa Head just out of Dunedin? It is a great place to visit if you get the chance.
